A longtime Sutter County resident, local business owner and public servant, Dan Flores was first elected to the Sutter County Board of Supervisors in 2014 and began representing District 2 in January 2015. He was reelected in 2026 to another four-year term beginning in January 2027.

Dan has spent much of his career building organizations and strengthening the Yuba-Sutter community. He founded and led Cambridge Junior College for more than two decades and has extensive experience in business management and commercial real estate. He currently serves as Assistant City Manager and Community and Economic Development Director for the City of Marysville, providing leadership in economic development, land-use planning, housing, downtown revitalization and major community projects.

Dan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Public Administration degree from Grand Canyon University.

His community service includes leadership roles with the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce, Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation and other regional organizations. He also has extensive healthcare governance experience through his service as a trustee and committee chair within the Sutter Health system. Dan remains active in his church and supports numerous community organizations.

As Supervisor, Dan focuses on public safety, fiscal responsibility, infrastructure, economic opportunity and responsive constituent service. He values collaborative leadership, thoughtful planning, regional partnerships and preserving the character and quality of life of the communities he serves.

Dan and his wife, Tonya, raised their family in the Yuba-Sutter community. He proudly represents District 2, which lies entirely within Yuba City.
