Ettl Hall, operated by the County of Sutter as a service to the community, is available for rent on a first come, first served basis. Museum staff manage this facility.

*For partial day rental, the Hall may be rented for a four (4) hour period on Sutter County working days between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for use by a maximum of 60 attendees with no use of the kitchen and rose garden, and no alcohol. The daily rental fee will apply to any use exceeding four (4) hours.

**The Non-refundable reservation fee must be paid within 14 calendar days of a reservation being made, or the reservation will be cancelled.

Ettl Hall Use Capacity

  • Standing: 376 persons
  • Sitting: 269 persons
  • Dining: 125 persons

The hall includes a kitchen, eight (8) 5-foot round tables, twenty-four (24) 6-foot rectangular tables, and approximately 130 chairs (amount may vary). Additional tables and chairs may be brought in at the renter's expense.

Hours of Use

Hours of use are from 9:30 a.m. on the rental date until 7:30 a.m. the following day for the cleanup of the facility. However, the event shall terminate at 11:00 p.m. on the event day. No music or loud noise shall be allowed after 10:00 p.m. The premises shall be vacated, clean, and free of personal property and the outside area free of debris no later than 7:30 a.m. the following day.

Additional Information

  • Insurance coverage is required for all events at renter’s expense. Insurance can be acquired on your own or through the County for an additional fee by coordinating with Museum staff during your booking process.
  • Events serving or distributing alcohol will require security guards. Renter is responsible for hiring licensed security guards.
  • No credit card payments are accepted. Payments must be cash, check, or money order only.
