JUNE 2, 2026 STATEWIDE DIRECT and CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT PRIMARY ELECTION

All Sutter County registered voters will receive a vote by mail ballot for the Primary Election in the mail beginning on May 4, 2026.

CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 1 ONLY - CANDIDATE FILING DATES & INFORMATION: 

Signatures in Lieu of Filing Fee Period: January 22, 2026 - March 10, 2026

Nomination and Candidate Filing Period: March 23, 2026 - April 9, 2026

AUGUST 4, 2026 SPECIAL VACANCY ELECTION - CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 1

If one candidate receives a majority of the votes (50% + 1) during the June 2, 2026 Primary Election, no special general election will be held.

NOVEMBER 3, 2026 GENERAL ELECTION

Candidate Filing Period: July 13, 2026 - August 7, 2026
