General Services

Our programs provide a multitude of free services and trainings for individuals, families, school staff, and professionals to build community capacity. The service activities include education, support, and outreach to help inform and identify individuals and their families who may be affected by a behavioral health issue. These services are designed to increase awareness of behavioral health risk factors and to promote protective factors to increase resiliency.

Substance Use Prevention Programs

Our goal is to prevent substance use, raise awareness of substance abuse problems and the readiness of stakeholders to address these issues and provide substance use training and education for professionals, schools, and the community. Our Substance Use Prevention Programs provide targeted, evidence-based prevention services that are culturally competent and sustainable.

Friday Night Live (FNL)

Sutter-Yuba Behavioral Health works with the California Friday Night Live Partnership (CFNLP) and is committed to the belief that a youth development framework, which is inclusive, comprehensive, youth-driven, and founded on current research, will improve the lives of young people and the communities in which they live. Youth involved in the programs work on alcohol, tobacco, drug prevention and other issues of concern in their communities.

Friday Night Live (FNL) Chapters, in schools, empowers young people by providing the ability to develop leadership skills making a difference in their community while concentrating on issues at the forefront of their cities and schools. Schools interested in starting a chapter are requested to provide an advocate to assist with the chapter and attend all meetings. In addition, schools are asked to provide a meeting space for chapters to meet during their designated time. Sutter-Yuba Behavioral Health is proud to currently assist in the sponsorship of FNL Chapters at AeroSTEM Academy, East Nicholas High School, and Live Oak High School. For more information, please contact the Sutter-Yuba FNL County Coordinator Rob Greear at 530-822-7200 or rgreear@co.sutter.ca.us for more information or assistance.
