What is CATCH's Mission?

CATCH's mission is to create a tobacco-free environment by reducing the risk factors and increasing protective factors for a healthy and safe community.

CATCH is currently working to promote tobacco free communities by supporting smoke and tobacco free policies and decreasing youth access to tobacco products. The coalition is working to address these issues through community education and advocacy.

Meetings

CATCH meets both in person and virtually on the first Thursday of each month from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In-person meetings are held at the Ampla Health Community Room at 935 Market Street in Yuba City, CA.

Student Advocates for Sutter County (SASC)

Sutter County youth, in Grades 9-12, who are committed to Creating a Healthier Sutter, sharing their youth voice & gaining advocacy, policy & health education skills are invited to join Student Advocates for Sutter County (SASC).SASC is a youth coalition focused on youth advocacy and promoting healthy lifestyles. The mission of SASC is to initiate, coordinate, and sustain prevention efforts that promote healthy lifestyles through education, promotion, and advocacy work.

Sutter County youth in grades 9-12 who are committed to creating a healthier Sutter and would like to gain experience in health education and advocacy are invited to join.

What do we do?

  • Advocate for healthy policies
  • Educate peers and the community about smart, healthy choices
  • Volunteer on various community projects and surveying

Why Should I Join?
