The Wellness and Recovery Center
Sutter-Yuba Behavioral Health's Wellness and Recovery Center offers recovery-focused support to adult community members living with serious mental health challenges and co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.
The Wellness and Recovery program is centered around group meetings offered to participants. The groups are of educational, skill-building, cognitive-strengthening, and entertainment natures. The Center takes participants on periodic outings in the community, offering opportunities for socialization, stimulation, and community experience at these educational and entertaining destinations. There is also a Work Wellness program within the Center, assisting those who wish to explore employment possibilities.
The Wellness and Recovery program is peer-led, with all staff members holding current California state peer certification credentials. The Center collaborates with other programs within the county behavioral health system, such as the HOPE FSP program, to ensure that highest quality comprehensive services are offered to our community participants.
The Wellness and Recovery Center assists its participants in improving their health and wellness, living a self-directed life, and striving to reach their full potential.
Adult Education
The adult education program works in conjunction with Sutter County Department of Education and seeks to help clients with severe behavioral health symptoms continue to seek higher education and graduate from High School. Having a mental illness can impact and affect the trajectory of your education, the goal of this adult education program is to help individual continue to learn in way that is conducive to their mental health and educational needs. Current consumers of Sutter Yuba Behavioral Health services who are in services with can participate with a referral from their provider.
Work Wellness/Culinary Program
The work wellness program and culinary program works in conjunction with Sutter County One-Stop to provide work readiness for consumers who are seeking to gain employment in the community. Our work wellness program is designed for adults with severe and complex behavioral health needs. Our programs offer person-centered learning both in individual and group format that encourages independent work skills, vocational training, supported employment, and community integration.
