Program Overview

The Sutter County Oral Health Program (SCOHP) is dedicated to improving the oral health and overall well-being of our community. Through education, outreach, and strong partnerships, our program supports community-driven initiatives that promote preventive care. We work with school districts, county agencies, non-profits, and dental providers to help you get access to the oral health services you need most. Together, we are building a heathier community one smile at a time.

SCOHP Five Focus Areas:

  • Access to dental care
  • Collaboration
  • Oral health education and dental disease prevention
  • Integration
  • Data and evaluation

The good news is tooth decay is preventable!

Establishing good dental care habits at home at a young age is important. However, home care alone is no substitute for a dental check-up. Having a dental home and seeing a dentist every six months is the best way to ensure a child remains pain-free and able to focus on school.
